Problem: Board unclear regarding strategy
8.04.2025
Every board should be able to articulate the strategy their organization is using to move forward, whether they helped create it or not. But many boards feel uncertain. They may point to a strategic plan the board adopted but cannot explain the strategy undergirding it. The strategy is simply the path for how the organization is going to go from here to there. Any board can ask the organizational leader for an updated strategy. If he or she cannot produce it, the board can get to work together with the organizational leader to create it. The strategy ought to be so straightforward and clearly explained that any board member can understand it.
