Problem: Board communicates poorly
2.12.2025
The board of any nonprofit needs to identify its moral owners and communicate regularly with them and all other key stakeholders. But most boards are so consumed with their own work and the immediate challenges their organization is facing, they easily forget about others who have an interest in the organization. Boards usually have several ways they can communicate with moral owners and stakeholders. They can issue statements directly from the board, they can issue statements through the organizational leader, and they can communicate with individuals who have questions or concerns.
